Your Healing Oasis

Your place to be free of toxins!

If you have been diagnosed with MCS or if you have noticed that you have symptoms after exposure, you may want to consider making changes to your lifestyle to reduce your exposure to common chemicals in your environment.  If It is overwhelming to remove all of the toxins from your home, person, and workplace it may be a good idea to make an oasis, a less toxic place for you to be.  It could be in one room of your house, a heated shed, or an old travel trailer (not moldy).

How to make your Oasis

1.Pick a room that has a hard surface floor or a non-toxic carpet, no mold in walls, has never had air freshener in it, has not been recently treated with pesticide or painted.

2. Empty the room and closet of everything.

3. Clean the room with baking soda and vinegar. Check the room for obvious smells – Deal with those by sealing them out with foil, or washing, etc

5. Add a charcoal air filter big enough for the room.

6. Add a lamp, maybe a wooden chair or table, but be careful what else you take in there.  Bad ideas are books, crafts, computers, etc.

7. Make sure that air isn’t circulating from other rooms. Close off any heating vents.

Move in – Oh, so comfy!

After being out of the house, before you enter the oasis, clean yourself.  Wash carefully with unscented soap and shampoo.

Wear only cotton clothes that have never been washed in a scented product.

Sleep in this room.

Test the oasis by spending most of your time in this room for at least a week.

After a week you should be able to smell all kinds of things when you leave the room.

If you don’t then there is a flaw – too much time out of the room or the room isn’t “clean”, or the room isn’t closed off from the house.

By using this room for your Oasis for as many hours a day as you can, you should be able to eliminate some symptoms.

Some people have reportedly recovered after just sleeping in their oasis for a few months.
